This 3-day, intensive course, hosted and sponsored by the Denver PD, is closed to invitation only. Investigators from the Denver-Metro area will learn how to effectively utilize evidence-based Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) principles when investigating threats of gun violence that may require the use of an Extreme Risk Protection Order. Participants will learn how BTAM principles strengthen their ability to triage threats, present strong court cases, and engage a whole-community approach to crisis management.
